- Whole-Body Vibration Alleviates Symptoms of Morphine Withdrawal
- Abstract
- This study looks at whole-body vibration as a potential treatment for morphine withdrawal. In whole-body vibration, vibrating motors activate mechanoreceptors which help modulate activity in the brain. Administration of whole-body vibration to rats in morphine withdrawal significantly decreased behavioral and physiological symptoms such as anxiety and abnormal brain activity.
