Heretics and Hypocrites: Seeing Religious Guidance Through a Partisan Lens
Abstract
Our previous qualitative study found that members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints experience disjunctions between politics and religion. Through a survey experiment of LDS Utahns, we measure attitudes towards COVID-19 and LGBTQ+ issues and find that members interpret Church policies through a partisan lens.
