Poster Title
Measuring Maladaptive Perfectionism in Emerging Adults at BYU Using the Religiosity and Maladaptive Perfectionism Scale (R-MPS)
Abstract
Previous studies found rigorous religious standards, like the Honor Code, may facilitate maladaptive perfectionism. A 12-item scale, Religiosity and Maladaptive Perfectionism Scale (R-MPS) was found to be a valid and moderately reliable measure of maladaptive perfectionism (α=0.71). The R-MPS may be used to help educators direct students to helpful resources.
