A City Set on a Mine: Negative Health Effects of Mining on Utah Communities
Abstract
This study examines how proximity to mines can have a negative effect on an individual’s health, specifically how certain mining provokes specific illnesses in different age groups. In the towns studied, it was found that the copper mining town had the highest rate of death with lowest age of death.
