Poster Title
How Does Legal Status Affect Immigrants’ Internal Geographic Mobility? Evidence from DACA
Abstract
A secure legal status could allow immigrants to engage in activities that attach them to a local area or allow them to engage in riskier moves without fear of deportation. Using the 2007-2019 ACS microdata, we document that attaining legal status leads to higher mobility rate among young Hispanic immigrants.
