Breadwinners and Bread Makers: Trends in Gender Ideology Among Religious Working and Stay-at-Home Mothers
Abstract
Progressive gender ideology may be affected by religiosity, and has not been examined among religious working and religious stay-at-home mothers. Of our sample of 224 mothers, 80.2% reported attending church weekly. Religious working mothers were more likely to endorse progressive gender role ideology, yet both groups did exhibit it.
