Whistle While You Work: What Attributes Influence Whistleblower Credibility?
Abstract
What factors determine the credibility of whistleblower complaints? Using an original conjoint experiment, we find that when a whistleblower complaint receives national media coverage, its credibility increases. Additionally, when the partisanship of the whistleblower aligns with the partisanship of the respondent, the credibility of the whistleblower’s complaint increases drastically.

Great project! One quick question - how do you think the results would be different if you had presented people with coverage by specific news organizations (CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, etc.)?
