Poster Title
"To Hold the World Together": A Uinta Basin Homesteading History, 1905-1930
Abstract
Using census and land ownership data, this research tracks populations over 25 years in Eastern Utah's Duchesne County. Contrary to my hypothesis that many homesteaders sold their land, I found that most homesteaders retained land while Native people sold at higher rates. White and Native land use is also discussed.

Having roots in the Basin, I appreciated the insights you offered, and the way you carefully examined the data.
